1932

Sangamo Electric starts manufacturing flasher and timer components.

1945

Ed Schulenburg Sr. purchases and relocates the company to Danville under the Time-O-Matic name.

1951

Time-O-Matic invents the first ever sign to display both time and temperature with the same bank of lights.

1971

Keith S. Wood & family purchase Time-O-Matic.

1998

Time-O-Matic introduces LED-based message centers.

2001

Watchfire brand name was introduced.

2006

Digital billboard division launched.

2007

Whole-sign color calibration pioneered.

2013

110,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space is added, pushing the total to more than 200,000 sq. ft.

2014

Watchfire begins manufacturing SMD displays.

2018

Indoor display and sports videoboard divisions launched.

2019

Watchfire completes the Fremont Street Canopy project, the world’s largest video screen.

2023

Watchfire purchases Spectrum Scoreboards of Houston, Texas, giving the company a complete line of scoreboards and timing displays.
